Its snowing a lot more heavily now, and this is my daughter’s first real time driving in it. I really hope she doesn’t wreck my car. I keep hoping with every storm that this one will be the last, that Spring will be showing her lovely face soon, but there’s always another storm.

I didn’t get anything done today. Again. Well, except the dishes & dinner. I do plan to make soap this evening while I watch TV, though, I’m just not sure what I want to make first.

Of course, I walked away & left this at some point to watch TV, and so on. I made 2 types of soap: Strawberry Banana & Grass Stain and they’re setting up right now. My daughter did fine in the snow & made it home safely and now I’m sitting in here arguing with Erin, because he doesn’t understand how much it aggravates me that his girlfriend treats him like garbage. Grrrrrr.

Its snowing a little today, the wind is blowing like crazy & the sky is dark & gray. I’m so ready for Spring & Summer that I can taste it. I’m tired of jackets, and flannel sheets & closed windows. I want to wear capris, sandals & tees, have the windows opened & the radio turned up. I also want to sleep in & stay up late. Ah well. Soon enough.

I finished my daughter’s kimono last night, she seemed pleased with it & its very pretty. I’m not thrilled with the obi & may try to find her a real one on eBay. Anyhoo.

I gotta go clean house & start on some soap.

So, we made our daughter quit her job yesterday. She was wanting to, but wouldn’t, because she was afraid that we’d be let down. She was failing all of her classes, so she went from honor roll to failing in a few months. Troy & I went in with her and explained to HR what was going on & why we were wanting her to quit, and everything went fairly well. She seemed like a different kid when we came out of there. This is the first Saturday she’s had off in a long time, and last night was the first Friday night in a longer time. She knows that she has to bring her grades up now or she’ll be grounded until she does. At any rate, she’s already looking for another job.

There isn’t much going on here today, I’m getting ready to go do the dishes & probably start cutting out the pattern for my daughter’s kimono and then, hopefully, the fabric, too. I really want to just get it done for her. Fortunately, there doesn’t seem to be that much to it.

My left eye keeps twitching today, its about to drive me nuts. I just took my allergy meds & I’m hoping it’ll help. *twitch*

Ok, this blog is going to be the one where I post all of the daily, personal stuff, from now on. The other one will become much more “blog-like” and less “journal-like,” since its the one where I’m earning money & posting links and such all the time anyway.

Not that my weekend actually holds anything exciting, but I can sleep past 6:20 tomorrow, which is something, right? Our daughter got her schedule changed so that she only has to work until 2:30pm on Saturdays instead of until 6:30 & she seems pretty happy about it. She had requested today off, but didn’t get it & nothing even shows that she requested it, so she’s pretty mad right now.

Its snowing off & on today, but such is winter. I really need to get started on my daughter’s kimono, so that I can give myself permission to work on everything else without feeling guilty.

I really get tired of feeling poorly & being sick. I’m starting to wonder if I’m never going to feel 100% again. It just feels like the life is being drained out of me some days. I’m so tired of ferrying people around, I really wish Erin would get his bike fixed or Alisha would get her car fixed, so I could stop worrying about getting them where they need to go. I’m starting to feel a little resentful that her mom doesn’t step up a little more often, I know she works and all, but that doesn’t mean my time is less valuable than hers.

Anyway. Enough griping.

I’ve started to do some digital scrapbooking, I like it a lot better than actually gluing things down, since I’m better at it & all. I only have one page done so far, because I’m still gathering & editing my supplies, but once I get several ready to go, I’ll make a gallery for people to look at.

Well, its time to get my shoes one, so I can start the daily running to & fro :/

.. I thought it was friends’ day.. errr.. no. Hi there. Wednesday around here is always a pretty good day. Troy’s off most of the time, its our daughter’s day off, too and sometimes, even Erin is off (not today, but sometimes).

The kids sure kept me running yesterday. I took my daughter to work, came home, took Erin to work 2 hours later. Picked the girl up from school, took her to work, went to T@co Time & picked up Alisha, took her to the bank to deposit their checks, brought her back here, then we went & picked up Erin and came back here. Then they wanted to go to Walm@rt, so we did that & another store, came back here, picked up my daughter from work (she asked me to get her an hour early), took her back a few minutes later because she got scared that she’d get fired & then back to get her and hour and a half later.

I’m hoping today will be a little more mellow.

It stopped snowing fairly early last night, then it either started sleeting or melting, because the ice out there was terrible at 7:00 this morning. I managed to get my daughter & a couple of her friends to school and was on my way back. I turned off of Main street to another one & my car kept going straight. I was sitting there desperately trying to keep from hitting the 2 cars in front of me, saying f**k over & over again, when my car finally stopped. I then, calmly, turned the wheel, got back into my lane & drove off. I hope it either melts off or they actually get around to sanding/salting the roads before I have to go out in it again.

I really felt terrible last night, tired, feverish & just all-around blah. I was in bed by 9:30 I think, but wanted to be there by 8:30. I feel a little bit better today, but not great. I wish winter would end, maybe I could start feeling good again if it did.

I’ve tried several times to get a post up in here, but never seem to find enough time in a single stretch to do it, so I’m trying again. We had a nice weekend, got our groceries bought, bills paid, hung out with friends on Friday night & played “Dead Lands,” took Dawn to get her car ready for inspection Saturday morning, but then we found out her clutch is going out. I came home & started my red beans & rice that I was making for our Mardi Gras party later that night.

The party was fun, we had red beans & rice, beanless chili, bratwurst and a fake King Cake (the person who was supposed to get it flaked out on us) made out of filled donuts. I got the baby & have the cake responsibility next year. (which means we’ll have one! LOL) My daughter invited her boyfriend, and best friend, even Erin & Alisha came. It was nice having so many people show up. The kids all got into a silly string war, it was pretty funny & they all enjoyed it. My daughter bought those capsule animals that you put in water & they turn into animal sponges for the little kids.

Jason was way drunk when we left & the rest of (who were drinking) were feeling no pain too. It was a good night & its always fun to get together with everyone & just hang out. I slept in later yesterday and then Troy & I messed around on Guild Wars awhile, I took my daughter to Walm@rt to exchange a shirt and she bought a few more shirts, we came home & she did some homework, went & got her best friend for awhile. She came home after a bit & told me she was invited to go to dinner with her boyfriend’s family and if she could go she was taking her friend home & then going out there, which she did. They took her to Chili’s & then they were allowed to go out for a couple of hours.

Today she doesn’t have school, so I slept in until about 9:30, and then she got ready to go & went to get her best friend. They’re at the SUU library doing homework right now before she has to go to work later. Erin & Alisha are out with friends before they have to go to work, too. I’m not. All of my friends are already at work.

Its snowing. Yay.

Winter returned with a vengeance this morning. Its cold, gloomy & snowing off & on. My daughter woke up stiff & sore, I’m a little worried about her, since she keeps having headaches. If they don’t get better, its off to the doctor for her.

I’m thinking I’m coming down with something, yet again, because I’m super tired. I have been for days. I’m almost done with the living room, I cleaned it last night while I was watching TV. It goes a lot faster that way. I’m so sick of the house always being a sty, I’m determined to get it clean & try to keep it that way.
