I think I finally have everything moved/added to the sidebar that I want & I think its awesome that this layout had the spaces I wanted for everything, too. I think I may be getting the hang of editing the templates, its been a very long time since I messed with any of this stuff even remotely.

At any rate, I’m satisfied. I’m nearly finished moving entries from the other blog over here, too. I think I have a month and some left to do. Yay!

I swear I’m going to get a full night’s sleep if I have to drug myself to do it. I hate when I get into my insomniac phases, they’re so hard to beat & I feel terrible for as long as it lasts. Troy seems to think I ought to know why I can’t sleep, but there’s no real reason, you just can’t.

So our taxes are e-filed & approved, just need to send off the signature form & do the waiting for it to be direct deposited. I love e-file

I think there’s something going on with my daughter that’s she’s not talking about, because she’s been very angry & touchy this week. I doubt that she WILL come to me with it, she’d rather sit & stew than actually talk about anything, but it still makes me worry. *sigh*

I guess this is the Valentine version of this blog. I’m not sure & wish I knew how to make my own layouts (and that I could figure out where to edit that line at the top that says put any text or link here), but since I can’t & this seems to be the closest I’m gonna get without knowing how, so be it.

I e-filed our taxes this morning, so that’s something to look forward to, sadly, this will probably be the last year that we actually get anything back, since we can’t claim our daughter for the child tax credit next time. That’s ok, we’ll figure it out, we always do.

I’m just kind of lazing around the house until its time to start dinner. I’m fairly bored, but also somewhat crampy & headachey, so I think I’ll just keep doing it, in case there’s another bug trying to weasel its way in.

It just never seems to end around here, really. Some days, it seems like we’re a “normal” family, and we even manage to act like one for awhile. Then, all of the sudden, from nowhere, Little Miss Thundercloud makes an uninvited appearance & it all goes to shit. It usually happens when she’s made plans with someone & hasn’t cleared them with me first. So, of course, the plans fall through.. I can’t give her the car if its the only one here & someone else has to be picked up from work still. Instead of finding out why I have to use MY car for that instead of Troy’s, she just assumes that I don’t trust her, or I don’t want her to have fun or some other nonsense.

I’m ok with disappointment & her trying to make me feel guilty for saying no. I’m used to that. Its the hateful attitude she starts flipping at me instead that I’m having a hard time taking. I don’t deserve to be treated that way. Its not like I can just leave Erin at work with no way home, I’m not a bad person because I keep my obligations to other members of this family.

I heard a rumor that WalM@rt is closing its fabric departments, does anymore know if that’s true?

Its been a pretty good Friday, so far. We went & got my car registered, deposited Erin’s rent in the bank & went out to lunch with Dawn, Morgan & Justin and have pretty much just been kind of relaxing other than that. Tonight Troy may be running sound for a local band, called “Muddy Boots” and we may be gaming, no one knows for sure yet.

Tomorrow, we need to take my car & wash it & take it in to get the oil changed, too, and that’s about it, other than running kids back & forth to work & all. Sunday, I just want to rest & relax, I’m so tired. I’m sure that won’t happen. I’m sure someone will need me to take them here or there or whatever, but I’d like it to happen.

I’m really starting to love Wednesdays. Even more than I did before, I mean. Since Wednesday starts Troy’s weekend, it means both cars are here all day, and that means I let my daughter drive to school & usually work, too.

Last year sometime, we bought a Daewoo Microwave/Convection oven combo. This thing has a metal carousel in it, and it occasional would spark if the carousel wasn’t seated right. Now it sparks all the time. It takes 5 minutes or more to pop a mini bag of popcorn, and then its half-popped & half-burned. I guess I’ll just take popcorn off of my menu, because its too frustrating to deal with. I’ll also go back to cheap microwaves, because they at least work for more than a year.

Other than that, yeah, we’re still sick, although it does seem to be getting better. I’ve only taken medicine once today. I’m still running a fever, but I don’t want to die anymore.

I did manage to go to the ultrasound yesterday. Troy took Erin to work & got dinner out of the oven for me. Ultrasounds are so much different now than they were even 16 years ago. Everything is so easy to see & not a indistinguishable blob, like it was with my kids. We saw the baby’s sweet face, little feet, hands & precious heart beating. It was really neat watching Morgan & Roger’s reactions when they saw their baby for the first time, it was like they couldn’t believe it & then you could see when they realized that was *their* baby. The baby was being a bit difficult for awhile, and not letting the tech see between its legs, but she sent Morgan out to use the bathroom & had her come back & the baby finally got comfy & moved perfectly to let us see the little girly parts.

It was a pretty awesome experience, and its nice to see how things have improved over the years, too. Now we start shopping!! (and sewing, if I can get my sewing machine running)

Anyway, still sneezing, coughing worse. Its so much fun.

I finally caved in and decided to use my domain for a blog/journal again. I sometimes get tired of being restricted by blogspot’s pre-generated templates & get the urge to host my own stuff again – so here I am.

I plan to migrate my posts from the blogger site as soon as possible, just to be done with it.
